I switched the tubes from the amp driving it to the Right amp as a quick test and they appeared to be fine: the Right amp/tweeter seemed to be functioning normally. Other than having a little less gain then my other amps which required some tweaking in the levels (+4 to +7 dB to both the Left and Right channel signals depending on my mood and what I think my frequency sweeps are telling me) they have been running just fine…įirst my Left tweeter went out. I have them driving the tweeters in a set of specially modified Polk Monitor II 70s that I ripped the crossovers out of so that I could tri-amp them via an active digital crossover ( miniDSP 4x10 Hd). They've worked fine for a year and a half straight of almost continuous use. I have two mono-block tube amplifiers that I built from kits (S-5 Electronics K-501 monoblocks. I’ve hit a bit of a snag and I wonder if you can help me troubleshoot it… Welp, I’m at a loss here, ladies and germs.
